The Sardine Room has quickly become my favorite place to dine for both important occasions and impromptu visits to the bar. I’ve had their shrimp and grits 3 (maybe 4?) times and it’s always, always amazing. I can tell the chef has spent time in the South and knows how to make a good roux! The Captains Bloody is a treat and the steak in the steak and frites is seasoned incredibly well. I am trying something new today, the pork belly hash, and I’m sure it will be delicious!!
Service is always quick and; everyone is very friendly as well.

I had a tough one wondering what I was going write here. They do not accept reservations which their happy hour runs from four to six and they are always busy. If you want to eat before 7:00 I advise you to get there before 6:00. The table we had was shaking and wobbly and during the meal one of our drinks fell right off the table. It took us a while to get that cleaned up. There was a smell in the place that was obviously fish and it is the Sardine Room but it was overwhelming. The food was very good I had the fish and chips which was fresh and cooked very well. My companion had the sauteed Perch which they enjoyed very much. The wait staff was not very attentive. They left our appetizer dishes on the table when they brought our entrees. Finally when the table got cluttered I moved our empty dishes to an empty table. Even on a good day the best I could give this restaurant is a three and a half. I doubt that I will return. Although there are many good restaurants in that area I'll be checking them out. Stay tuned. Dinner for two with a couple of drinks $100.

Sardine room happy hour is a joke. We sat outside and were handed a happy hour menu & we ordered off the happy hour menu to find out the any outdoor seating does NOT get the happy hour pricing. First off, why are they handing us the happy hour menu to not let us have the happy hour offer… talk about dangling a carrot in your face. No where on the menu does it say happy hour excludes outdoor seating… maybe that should be included to avoid customer disappointment? Also why do you only get happy hour if you sit in a special area inside? Poor poor business model. At least their food was good and service was quick.

We had such a lovely Sunday brunch - they don't take reservations for the 11am-1pm rush, but we were able to get a 10:45am reservation which was just perfect! Parking was easy right outside.
When you walk in, you immediately see the fresh seafood on ice and everything looked beautiful. I can't wait to come back for dinner and oysters - they had such a nice selection. We were greeted warmly and seated by the host, and our server was great even though it was packed. The classic bloody Mary was perfect with a fresh, cold shrimp on the side, and my Mom's mimosa was perfectly balanced - not too much OJ, not too sweet.
The food was really fantastic - just cooked and seasoned so well. My Mom had the breakfast fries which was so good with a very yummy sauce, bacon crumbles and an egg. I had the crab cakes benedict, which I highly recommend. The eggs were poached perfectly, hollandaise was creamy and savory, and the crab cakes were mostly fresh lump crab just barely held together. Delicious. It comes with breakfast potatoes, which were good but not great - but I ordered a side of their fries, and I'm so glad i did. They're very thin and crispy and dusted with this amazing spice blend that has just the slightest bit of curry powder in it, I think, and it went so nice with the seafood and gave them a unique yummy flavor that made me want to keep eating them. Delicious.
I can't wait to come back again.
