If you’re looking for the best Sushi 🍱 in Brighton then this is your place❗️Been coming here for years and no matter when I stop in it’s always consistent. So if you haven’t been here yet put it on your radar for a visit. For the newbies who aren’t certified sushi aficionados, they make it easy with pictures of all their house specialty rolls. Personally I can recommend the firecracker, dragon, crazy boy, Las Vegas, and red wings roll 🍣 if you’re wondering which ones to order.

My absolute favorite sushi place. So many choices. So fresh. Creative specials each month. Chefs are willing to do previous specials of the month as long as they have ingredients. There is sushi for everybody. Raw, cooked, vegetarian, dessert sushi. Other amazing appetizers and dishes as well. Gyoza steamed is a favorite appetizer. We really like the avocado bomb as well. Bento boxes, chicken katsu, rice bowls, stir fried noodle dishes. Vegetarian rolls - strawberry blossom roll, veggie love roll, banana hama roll all so delicious. Spicy California roll, shrimp tempura roll, crunchy roll. So many options. Great service each time. Wonderful restaurant.

There are lots of great restaurants around Brighton/Novi, including some great sushi. But sushi zen is top notch. Everything is ALWAYS fresh, servers are kind, helpful, and understanding, and the food is just delicious. I am telling you there is no bad roll. Their menu is also insanely impressive; the sheer number of roll choices they have, you could eat here for a year and not have the same thing twice. 10/10!!

I keep searching for a better sushi spot in the metro Detroit area, but time and time again, I find myself coming back to Sushi Zen. It still holds my number one spot for the overall best sushi. Honestly, I hate even writing this review because the wait can already be long, and it seems like more people are catching on—but it’s no secret: their sushi is amazing. A true gem!

Sushi Zen is always delicious. We had the MSU and Crazy girl rolls, miso soup, and fried gyoza—everything was fresh and full of flavor. Our server, Kate, was super sweet and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed.
