We enjoyed a late breakfast here on the weekend. The parking lot was packed when we arrived, but we were able to be seated quickly. Our coffee was always full and hot, and we had a nice view in a booth by the windows looking out at the river. We both ordered omlettes, I had the veggie add bacon, and my husband had the lumberjack. Portions were large, and the food was very flavorful. The wait for the food to come out was a bit longer than expected, but we didn't mind. Will definitely be back to try other menu items!

Think family friendly, home style meals with generous portions. That’s what riverside is and has always been. One of our rug rats had half of his food on the floor and spilled coffee, whilst the other one was doing laps around the tables, with no issues. The wait staff was patient and attentive. Couldn’t think of a more tolerant and welcome place. Highly recommended! Oh, and a great farmers omelette!!
We also picked up our ordered pies, an annual tradition that never disappoints. A staple of our family and a favorite of my son, who came in from California and couldn’t think to miss it during Christmas!!

Well I’ve been trying to give this place the benefit of doubt, but the last 2 times have been terrible. The service is rude when you ask for something. Today December 19, my husband picked up food for us who are sick. All of it was cold. The food wasn’t ready after 43 minutes when they told us 30 minutes. I had a lumberjack omelette and it was way too over cooked and cold. The biscuits and gravy was extremely cold. Mind you we live less than a mile from this place there shouldn’t have to be cold food for take out especially when it was over 13 minutes late. But each time we go back to give this place the benefit of doubt the wait staff was rude as hell. Not the town diner with service with a smile. Today the women was rude to my husband. It needs to change, and the food is breakfast food how do you mess that up?

Charming little family restaurant in Freeland. As my son and I ate an early dinner, we heard the regulars talking to the waitresses and they were all on a first name basis. The food was good! My kiddo loved the peanut butter pie and also enjoyed watching the pet squirrel eating corn outside. Our waitress was attentive and nice. Recommend.

I oh so wanted to take a pic of my awesome food, phone in car and I wanted to eat! I had the veggie omelet and it was the best I ever had. Really. I was allowed to exchange items that went with my food, which is awesome. The waitresses worked really hard to keep coffee flowing, guests happy and getting the food directly to the table while still hot. We got there at around 1045 am and some tables were open. 1130 people waiting in line from in the restaurant out the door. I believe this is the only restaurant I would ever wait in line for! Food is and has been a "10", service a "10" and the atmosphere was a busy but all guests were content. Did I mention breakfast all day? Everything on the menu looks good but even better right in front of you. If you haven't been there go, go slightly before or after meal times or just go and you'll love this restaurant for comfort food, waitresses as if they were family, prices average, they don't scalp you and you'll be full and happy that you went! Good normal food with clean atmosphere and lovely waitresses who will keep your cup full! Only suggestion is add on to the restaurant and all will come. Thank you Riverside, see you soon for sure!
