We hired Perfectly Square this summer to replace our back deck. A very polite guy came out and gave us a quote along with illustrations on what things would look like (I’m bad at imagining these so this was so helpful!) It was also recommended we do the black spindles with the porch which we love! Payment plans made it easier on us to fund the project. They told us 6-8 weeks to project start and started right toward the end of that so a bit of a wait but well worth it. Damon Chittenden and his team were excellent in this process! The project took them only a couple days. They were respectful and kind. They left us with a beautiful new deck and cleaned up well after themselves. Our road was under construction and they even worked around that and helped us get the job done. Now we can enjoy our back yard and new deck!

More than just a roofing, siding and gutter job, it was a renovation of a 35 year old cedar sided home. The goal was minimum maintenance without turning it into a plastic wrapped clone. They succeeded in keeping the character of the home while repairing sheeting and minor framing issues and seamlessly blending the new with the few original features we wanted to keep. We purposely avoided one-horse independent contractors who are often skilled at their craft, but not their business. Perfectly SQ provided a reasonable estimate quickly, kept in constant contact from beginning to end with reasonable payment terms and no gotchas in the fine print. Roofing was a one day tear off and replace, including replacement of a couple of skylights, with roofing, siding and gutters together a mere twelve days. And yes, unlike your kids, they clean up after themselves! I highly recommend Perfectly SQ, they are on my speed dial for any future projects.

They came to me when our area was hit with hale damage in February 2024. The guy kept pressing that it can't hurt to get an estimate, so I decided to let them go through my homeowners Insurance. To my surprise They had allotted around $11,500 for roof patching and all new siding in March 2024. In April someone dropped off 8 packs of shingles and a few other things on a pallet and put it in the middle of my circle Drive in the front of my house and was told the roof would be done within a month, it took over 4 months to get it done but they sent no dumpster so I had to use all of my large tarps for them to ruin then nobody came to clean it up for a week. Then I was still picking up nails for a month. From that point I've been promised almost every month they are sending someone or working on it. They have had over $8000.00 of my claim and I can't do anything. I. Wish I would of read the reviews and had seen that they are not approved by the BBB. My insurance company said my only option is to hire a lawyer which I can't afford. I guess because I'm a women in my 60's I am an easy target to take advantage of.

Thieves! $2,400 down payment made in April 2024 for a door to be installed in “four to six weeks”. At seven weeks I reached out asking what the status was. This led to months of avoidance, excuses and repeated “four to six weeks” responses. By August I started asking for my deposit back to move on. My sales guy Chris was supposedly fired in June. Then left to deal with Todd who was useless as I met with him in office three times as he completely forgot I was coming the first time. I kept asking when this would be done. Couldn’t get a straIght answer. Then asked has the door even been ordered. Nope. Nothing special or custom. Told him I need to move on. I want my deposit back. “I’ll have to talk with the owner”. Good luck with that! Never heard from him of course. Then stopped again two weeks later. Met with a Vince who actually wrote down my information and promised i would hear from him by the following Monday or Tuesday. That also did not happen. The next I heard from anyone was a call they were “working on my gutter contract” which I tried to call back and no one answers. I sent an email the following Monday formally requesting my deposit back and ending my contracts as they were clearly not going to ever do the job. I had signed up with them to also replace the gutters but did not require a deposit for that (also in April). Then another call a week later from Todd stating they can come that day to do the gutters. I asked why we were even talking about the gutters as I had asked for my money back and I was done with them as it was already five months later. He claimed he knew nothing about wanting my money back even though I had said it to his face. I told him I had emailed them as well. “That person is on maternity leave”…so no one checks the emails ever either. He then became hostile and firing off the same staffing excuses and anything else he could attempt to come up with and I demanded to talk to the owner which of course I never heard from. I filed with the Better Business Bureau which did nothing but post a garbled review 3 months later and then went to small claims court which I immediately won as they did not show up. That was in December. Now it’s 10 months later and they still have my money and loads of other people’s as they have all posted the same as me and nothing happens. It sounds like they somehow move on under different business names and just take everyone’s money. THE WORST OF THE WORST!

If you value having people you can trust to do what they say they're going to do when they say they are going to do it, this is not the company to do business with. Work was soffits/fascia/gutters. At quote they were scheduling jobs 2 weeks out but once my job started it would be just a couple days between the soffits/fascia and gutters. I was also told they would communicate schedule and leave my yard in the same condition they found it. Main Issues: My yard was left with debris including nails, metal scraps, fast food wrappers, building materials etc despite being assured the crew would clean up. A job that was supposed to take ~3 weeks from contract took like 8 weeks. Constantly needing to follow up, not being told correct information, and having them no show a lot was just annoying and wasted a lot of my time. I no longer have faith in the quality of workmanship because just months after the install it is coming down. Sure, there is weather in Michigan and freak wind gusts do happen- but considering the scheduling and communication issues, it just seems more likely that something was missed or rushed. Grab a snack if you're still interested, I'd like to share the detailed timeline of my journey so far: 8/4/23: Contract Signed 8/10/23: No contact about scheduling so I contact.. 8/14/23: Follow up to my first message (unanswered), told it's a WIP. 8/18/23: Advised soffit and fascia will take place 8/21. 8/21/23-8/22/23:  Work takes place, looks generally good but there are some areas that looked ill-fitting around corners.  My yard was left a mess- Nails, old gutters, scraps, wrappers, etc.  I am told they will clean up tomorrow. 8/24/23:  They didn't come so I message and am told tomorrow again.  I send pics of the soffit/fascia areas I'm concerned about. 8/26/24: I thank them for cleaning up what they did- there are still construction materials in my yard but I assume they'll be used soon (spoiler alert- they were not). 8/30/24: I still don't have communication about gutter schedule, so I message. 9/5/24: No response so I follow up again.  I am told they are following up with gutter guys. 9/7/24: I follow up again, am told fascia crew will be out tomorrow, gutters on 9/12. 9/11/24: Nobody from the fascia team showed up the previous week that I could tell so I follow up again.  They claim they were there, and later it turns out they worked on areas that were not even the pictures I had sent and tell me that it's because my house is older that the corners are all bent. 9/12/24: Gutter installers do not come. I reach out and am told they thought the 12th was Wednesday instead of Tuesday.   They say they'll come tomorrow. 9/13/24: Gutter installers do not come.  I reach out again and there was another miscommunication and I was never even on the schedule. 9/14/23: Best new slot is 9/21. I am unhappy, as this is dragging on unreasonably compared to how the process was advertised. 9/18/24: I'm advised gutters will be bumped up to 9/19. 9/26/24: Construction materials are still in my yard and they left a tool.  Also the downspout away from the bottom of the house wasn't directed as we'd talked about during the quote.  So I reachout again. 9/28/24: The downspout Is corrected, mess cleared, and we pay up. Oh, you think this saga is done?  Nope.  February 28th 2024.  Fascia are pulling loose and pieces of soffit are falling. Quote is less than insurance deductible- surely we won't have a scheduling nightmare, I'm told they'll be able to do it the next week. 3/1/24: Contract signed 3/6/24: I reach out about scheduling 3/7/24: Supposed to come today.  Nobody comes, I reach out.  The crew didn't have a ladder to reach and will come tomorrow. 3/8/23: They come again and try to set up on the wrong side of the house.  Apparently still somehow don't have correct ladder. I'm told tomorrow pm. 3/9/24: No one shows. So, I guess I hope they do the right thing and finish this job promptly and do it well so that we can go our separate ways. Wish me luck, consider if this is the experience you want.
