On a snowing February day, Mexican food sounded like comfort food. It usually does.
While my car was getting an oil change across the street, I stopped in for lunch.
The chips & salsa were on the table before I even pulled my chair out.
I looked the menu over but zeroed in on a favorite, enchiladas. Also found they offer them with not just red or green sauces but a chocolate mole! Yes please.
I gnoshed on chips and co.pared the two salsas, one slightly hotter but definitely better flavor, until my order arrived.
3 chicken enchiladas with a rich, flavorful mole, and the requisite rice and refritos.
All was tasty but there is a complaint: everything was less than optimal temperature. Beautifully presented but cool by about 20 degrees.
The layout is cozy and colorful, lizards & art on the walls, light colored wood, bright tabletops. Very inviting. The music, while authentic was too loud. Not distractingly loud for eating but intrusive enough to force people to lean closer to converse.

Great, great dining experience!
Okay, let's get the elephant out of the way first. This isn't some cheap taco place. This is quality and quantity Mexican food that is well worth the price.
I don't know what magic they've done to their beans, but they are incredible. I had a customized burrito, and it was amazing.
We sat near the kitchen and could see the real ingredients being used. This is not food out of a box served by a bored waiter, this is amazing food served by a wonderful staff.
I can not say enough good things about this visit; nothing any of us had was anything but yum.
Finally, if you can, save room for sopapillas for dessert!

My wife and I have tried wet burritos from other Mexican restaurants. Even though we live in Harrison Township, we ALWAYS go to Mexico City!
Their salsa is always spot on. It’s hard to stop eating fresh warm chips before the meal comes, always hot from melting the extra cheese we order.
So good!
Every Mexican beer you can think of also!
I could eat here almost every day with the awesome menu they offer!

Decided to try this place for the first time...... it was a Saturday. Right when we walked in we were greeted and got a table right away. The staff was friendly and attentive, we were served chips and hot and mild salsa to start....very good. I ordered 2 chorizo tacos with a side of rice and she ordered the number 2 combo, two enchiladas and one burrito. The chorizo tacos were filling and very tasty. Her chicken enchiladas were delicious and something I need to order next time. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone who wants authentic amazing Mexican cuisine.

What a fun place! The colors and decor are so pretty and colorful.
As soon as I tried the chips and salsa I knew the food was going to be great, and I was right!
The chips were hot, thick and crispy. The mild salsa had so much flavor. The hot salsa was pretty spicy!
I ordered the chicken fajitas and the char on the veggies was chef's kiss perfection! The chicken itself was flavored perfectly and was so tender. There's also a lot on there so I had leftovers.
My fiance ordered the Mexico City Burrito and it was huge and so good!
We also each got a street taco to try them and they were super good!
Service was great. She was super friendly and brought refills so fast!
We will definitely be back and I think this will be our new Mexican restaurant stop!
