Came here with another couple and had some drinks and dinner and was not disappointed.
The enchiladas had plenty of meat and sauce, and the rice and beans were cooked perfectly. The tacos were flavorful as well and we absolutely loved the street corn.. it's a bit different than what I've had before, but better in a new way I think? I'm not sure why, heh, but I almost made a trip back the next afternoon to get some more.
They had some drink specials and a bunch of different flavored margaritas to choose from. I forgot our server's name, but he was really friendly and quirky in a good way. He had us laughing the whole time and we just really enjoyed ourselves.
I will make a trip back here next time I visit again.

First time eating outside here. The back patio is quaint. Also I’ve lived here 10 years and did not know they had parking in the back!! Only about 10 spots but still. Check there before paid street parking or far lot by the freight house.

I had an incredible experience at MAIZ Mexican Cantina! The food was absolutely delicious, the drinks were top-notch, and the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. A special shoutout to our server, Bello P., who provided exceptional service throughout the night. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican cuisine with fantastic service, MAIZ is the place to go. I can’t wait to come back!

I like their take on chips and salsa. Compared to other Mexican restaurants the chips were very good.
Chips were thinner, crisper and salted. Definitely good.
While the chips and salsa were good the entrees were iffy. They are higher priced compared to other Mexican restaurants. Also the sides on the entrees ( beans, rice, etc) were smaller portioned than others.
I tried the chicken fajita and tacos. While they were good just kinda wish they gave u more.
