Nothing really stood out to me about this place. For the price, much better Italian elsewhere. We also didn’t get any free breadsticks that we read about (but maybe they don’t do it anymore?) The minestrone soup was the best thing we had, but the pasta was just underwhelming. Wont be coming back

Absolutely wonderful experience all around! The food was fantastic, the service was friendly, and the drinks were proper. The bread is so good! Then… Have to get a pizza for the table to start! Or to take home!!! Cheers!

Forget Olive Garden. Go here! This is a wonderful Italian restaurant. It was very busy when we went. The food is delicious, decently priced and good size portions. The selection is great with authentic Italian cuisine. Is it Americanized Italian? I don’t know. Overall worth trying.

There are so many excellent points to make about Leonardo's Italian Grille. For one, this is my first time visiting. My family was looking for a restaurant near the airport and Leonardo's popped up on Google. We decided to give it a try. Seriously folks, I have eaten at many Italian restaurants in eastern Michigan and there are only three that have matched the flavor and quality of Italian cooking that I grew up in, equally matched the flavors of having visited Italy. These criteria are hard to match, and Leonardo's easily fits into my top 3. The other two restaurants are Gregario's in Wyandotte and Moro's in Allen Park.
From the bread to the main course, each dish is flavorful and pleasing to the eye. The atmosphere is a constant hum of people having conversations and glasses clinking just as you would expect at a large family gathering or cosy street side restaurant in Tuscany. Their marinara and meat sauces taste like my Italian grandmother's and the sauce I make at home. Simple where the flavor of the tomatoes comes through not competing with the rest of the dish. The chicken parmesan was prepared properly and seasoned perfectly. The pasta al dente as it should be. My wife had the lasagna with multiple layers of pasta and cheese which was baked in the oven. My youngest had the kids pizza. The crust was amazing and the pizza didn't last long. My oldest daughter who is the pickiest eater asked for the spaghetti with the sauce on the side. She started by dipping the pasta on her fork into the bowl of sauce but soon poured the whole thing in! She's a bellwether for good food and I knew this was the right place. How can you go wrong with delicious food that has great quality in value. To take the family to McDonald's costs almost as much as a four course meal, why not spend the money on something delicious?

Great food. The restaurant owner was very pleasant and sociable. If you are into shelled seafood💫👌🏾 mussels w/ Parmesan and the oil! Whew! 😅 Worth it! (To the point I missed getting a pic of the mussels! 😆) pizza was great and they also do their best to sub things if you want to switch veal for chicken in the Parmesan or what not. Definitely give Leonardo’s a try at least once.
