In town from FL for funeral and had a back dually tire go flat. We bought the tires and warranty from Firestone so took in to get repaired. Was told that couldn’t do it today and would have to come back even when told we were leaving first thing in the morning. Thankfully competitor across the street were super friendly and fixed it right away.

I was using this place for over 10 years, but now I advise to stay clear of them. I went in last fall and paid $1,400 for brakes. Would not cost that much anywhere else. And then I tried to take my vehicle there in the spring for some warranty work and they told me they work with the specific warranty company and set up the appointment for me. They called me after I dropped off my vehicle, as soon as they opened, and told me the warranty company didn’t approve the inspection. I called the warranty company and they never even contacted them. They just didn’t want to bother. I had to get another ride all the way back to Lansing from Eaton Rapids just to drop my car off at a better company. Waste of a lot of time and gas. The other company had it back to me in half a day fixed. They used to be reliable.

I have been a Firestone customer for a little over 10 years and have always had a very good experience. However, yesterday, Sunday, 08/18/2024, I was driving home when I ran over a pothole, causing my tire to fall off. My 2-year-old daughter was in the car with me, but thankfully we were fine since I wasn’t driving at high speed. I called a tow truck and explained the situation. While waiting for the tow, I called the Firestone West Lansing location, which has always been my go-to spot for any issues with my cars.
When I called Firestone, a person named Anthony answered the phone. After greeting each other, I explained what had happened and mentioned that the tow truck was on its way. To my surprise, Anthony immediately said, "No, no, no, no, no… don’t bring the car here. It requires a lot to inspect it, and we won’t be able to do it today." I reassured him that I wasn’t expecting it to be fixed today and understood that they might need to order parts, which could take a few days if not available at their location. I also mentioned that we didn’t even know what parts were needed yet.
I reminded Anthony that I’ve been a customer for over 10 years at this specific location, that I like this place, and that I trust them, so this is where I wanted to leave my car. Despite this, he insisted, "Don’t bring your car today. Take it somewhere else." When he said that, I asked him to please be professional and understand that I’m not just a first-time customer, and even if I were, that’s not how a customer should be treated. He then became angry and said, "WE DON’T NEED YOUR BUSINESS. DON’T BRING YOUR CAR. IF YOU DO, I’LL HAVE IT TOWED AND YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING FOR THE TOW."
I was shocked and told him not to worry—I wouldn’t bring my car there. Instead, I took my car to Bell Tire and dropped it off in their parking lot, even though the store was closed. This morning, Monday 08/19/2024, I received a call from Bell Tire. They explained what needed to be fixed, and I gave them the green light to proceed. Thank you, Bell Tire!
I still can’t believe how arrogant Anthony was. I will never go to that Firestone location again.

I went to buy a set of tires today 11-1-24. I was told that I couldn’t charge them on my Firestone credit card unless I had them installed by them. Was told that I was committing fraud for doing this I have done it before there for the 6 month interest free. The only way they would sell them to me was cash. Why is it now fraudulent to do this? I have access to tire equipment to install them myself. My guess is they are trying to force me to use there services. I’ll get my tires someplace else.

The customer service was fantastic and friendly. I needed front new pads and rotors along with a battery. They had me in and out within a couple of hours and that included an inspection. The prices seemed fair especially for our inflationary environment we live in. Thanks so much!
