The Bomber Restaurant is an absolute must-visit for anyone passing through Ypsilanti, MI! Stepping into this cozy diner is like taking a trip back in time, with its charming World War II memorabilia and warm, nostalgic atmosphere. But beyond the décor, what really makes this place special is the incredible food—and at the top of my list is the Bomber Omelette.
Let me tell you, this omelette is a masterpiece. Packed with a delicious mix of your choice of meat, cheese, onions, and peppers, it’s an explosion of flavor in every bite. The portion is massive (you will NOT leave hungry!), but what stands out is the love and care that goes into preparing it. Each ingredient tastes fresh and perfectly balanced, making this the kind of breakfast that lingers in your memory.
The service? Just as wonderful as the food. The staff makes you feel right at home, always friendly, attentive, and ready to share a bit of the restaurant’s rich history.
The Bomber Restaurant is more than just a place to eat—it’s a piece of history and a community staple that needs to be protected at all costs. Whether you’re a history buff or simply a fan of amazing comfort food, this diner is pure gold. I can’t recommend it enough!

Definitely the best breakfast we've had in a long time. The customer service was great with solid recommendations. Very welcoming for our first time in. The vibe is on point and definitely coming back. Fried Steak checked out and french toast was the bomb! Over easy eggs cooked like god himself cooked them. Potatoes tasted fresh and coffee tasted amazing!

Easily one of the better breakfasts in the Detroit metro area. Coffee cups are huge, good coffee not great. Corned beef hash was outstanding and I only got a half order it was a lot. The cap crunch french toast was really good too. thick, sweet but not too sweet, just right.

Iconic diner style restaurant with lots of WWII history. Plan to wait in line during weekend breakfast times, but worth the wait. Great food and service.

First time dining here. Food was fantastic with large portions. Had the Southern Skillet with country fried steak on top smothered in gravy. Biscuits and gravy baked in house was really good too. The service was also top notch. Highly recommend for breakfast and lunch (closed for dinners)
