I went to design 1 under terrible circumstances, but I ended up leaving happier than I've ever left any salon.
I went to another salon earlier in the week and they completely ruined my hair!(as shown in the picture). I wanted it shorter in the back with longer layers and I got a terrible choppy mess. I was embarrassed for the following days until I could get in to design 1 (per recommendation) and I went there nervous, hoping that they could fix this mess.
Upon entering, I was greeted amazingly and was immediately offered a drink, and for her to take my coat. She made me feel very comfortable, as she knew I was coming in because my hair was ruined.
The stylist, Summer, was incredible and fixed my hair to perfection. After having my hair ruined, it felt great to have an amazing stylist make my hair look amazing.
Design 1 is the best salon I have ever been to and now I will never go anywhere else!

Went in for a balayage, got a free hair cut. This is so horrible. Still paid full price. They had me walk out like this, didn’t even know about it til people asked if a child cut my hair. Hairstylist normally takes pictures of all her clients and posts on instagram, mhm for some reason she didn’t want to of mine. She left the hair dye in too long. Waited far a phone call from them hoping they would own up to their mistake but nope, this review will just have to do it. Thanks for doing this to me.

This was my second time coming to Design 1 Salon Spa, and I am still unpleased with the service I've received. The first photo was done by a stylist there that had great customer service, and I have no complaints of her work, but the fact that it has been exactly one month and the color has completely faded... that's an issue. I contacted the stylist and showed her pictures of my hair, and she blamed the fact of me using other shampoos and conditioners (such as Tresemme) because the chemicals can pull out the color faster. The only products I used are the ones they recommended for me. Which are the Redken Color Extend Shampoo and Conditioner and the Redken Unisex One United Multi Benefit Hair Treatment. I understand that I have tints of red, and that dye fades a lot faster than other dyes.. but I asked for dark brown hair with a tint of red. The stylists also told me that her clients are coming in every 4-5 weeks to get their hair done again.. that is not the standard time to get your hair touched up. It is 6-8 weeks usually, depending on the hair you have. I am upset of the fact that after my complaint, she told me that she couldn't fix my hair because the grace period is 2 weeks. Even if thats the case, rules should be broken to make your client happy. This was my second and last visit to Design 1 Salon Spa. It is their product line (Redken) and lack of customer service that will not let me spend another dime there.

This place is nice. It was a nice valentine's day gift of a massage, that fella was great! Then nail painting, lasted for a week and a half. Then a facial, it was needed!! And then a wash n blow out and the girl was very nice! Overall very enjoyable 260ish$

Just had my first appointment here and loved every bit of my experience with Brent. The service was great, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the ambience was very pretty and elegant. I would recommend Brent to anyone looking for an experienced stylist in town. He did amazing job 😍
