The food is very good here! We love the black magic bbq sauce. We ordered two of the meat platters- one brisket and one chicken and they came with good sized portions. We also ordered kids meals which were huge pulled pork sandwiches with fries and a drink. Definitely worth the money. The nacho appetizer we ordered was good, but I think the price was a bit much for the amount we received. Overall, very good food. Side note, Looking over the receipt, I did notice we were charged for the kids drinks, but after pointing that out to the waiter, he fixed the receipt to reflect that the drinks were included in the kids meals.

The food was fantastic, although they were out of chicken, ribs, sausage and bbq pit beans, which was disappointing.
The service was awesome! The atmosphere was cool, laid back. I like the decorations.
Great job! 4.5, will return.

The wife and I went here for a lunch date on our anniversary. I always prefer to go to bbq joints earlier in the day to make sure they haven’t ran out of anything. We were seated right away and started with their sausage egg rolls. These were absolutely amazing and could’ve made a meal out of 3-4 orders of these. These are a must try. We each got a meat platter. I got the ribs and added fatty brisket. My wife got the pulled pork and added brisket also. We were both in agreement that the brisket was the best we’ve had. The pulled porch with their vinegar bbq sauce was seriously next level. Cornbread was awesome. Put beans were amazing with huge chunks of pork. Sweet slaw was great as a pallet cleanser. My wife loved the cream corn also. ONLY downside was the price, but it’s also not out of line for bbq. It’s just an expensive food type everywhere unfortunately. I think we were out the door for around $90 including a tip and one alcoholic drink. We will definitely be back. Also if you’re not from the area, just know you will most likely have to pay for public parking.

We drove an hour and a half and were not disappointed. Metal meets Meat!!
Ambience , if you know who Iron Maiden, Amon Amarth or Testament is, or if you’re excited for Slayer possibly getting back together , then you found your spot.
Friendly service , clean location but you probably want to know about the food!!
Easily one of the best BBQ joints i have found in Michigan so far!
It’s not without faults but let’s get to the good stuff first.
Two of the most boring meats in the BBQ game that are often dry and require way too much sauce are , Turkey and Pulled chicken.
To my surprise these were fantastic and actually their Smoked Chicken wings were some of the best i have ever had. Winner!
Huge, moist, delicious and a delicate bit of smoke so not to overwhelm the meat. I’ll be back for these again soon.
Pulled pork, having just come from 2 weeks in the Carolina’s I can say this rivaled most I had tried. Smokey , salty and delicious.
Sauces- I’m a bit of a purist and don’t traditionally use sauces but they had a fantastic assortment ranging from a tangy Mop sauce, vinegar mustard to my absolute favorite Spicey Garlic.
Think Franks with a kick of garlic. While not a traditional BBQ sauce , i would put that on toast if had some, Fantastic.
The one drawback and this was surprising for sure was the brisket.
Good bark and clear smoke ring, but it was tough , dry and lacked flavor. It was cut very thick and we chose the flat but brisket should pull apart gently and this was more like burnt end pot roast.
We had multiple sides some misses but mostly hits, standouts were the BBQ beans and the Roasted broccoli salad. Delicious.
Overall i’m putting this as my number 2 BBQ restaurant, just behind Satchels in Ann Arbor and will 100% be back .
Worth the drive!!!🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸

Great atmosphere with friendly staff. Spoke with the bartender for a while as I ate my selection of the "Chin-Gorilla" sandwich. It was amazing for the price I paid. They did a good job of keeping their costs down. It seemed like a steal for how good the food was. Will definitely be back again as the atmosphere and beer were great. There is a small outdoor patio area in the front and it is bigger inside than it looks though tables are pretty tight together so if you need space for comfort you may get some anxiety there.
